Payment/Billing Option

Go paperless!  Have your utility bill emailed to you.  Complete the sign-up form and send it to city hall.  605-534-3611 or cityofcolman@iw.net

Budget Billing is available!  To pay the same amount every month(budget cycle is April - March), you need to meet the following requirements:

     1. Lived at the address to be budgeted for at least 1 year prior to  April 1st.

     2. Completed the sign-up form to activate the budget billing for 1 year cycles.

     3. Sign up before April 1st (the only date budget billing can start).

     4. If utilities are disconnected for nonpayment, budget billing will not be available again until the account is paid in full for 12 consecutive months.

Utility bills are printed and mailed or E-mailed(your choice) on the last day of the month.

They are due by the 15th of each month.  Payments can be made by:

• eCheck is available.  This enables the automatic electronic transfer of funds from your account to the City to pay your monthly utility bill.   No need to write a check every month!  *1st and 15th are the only available transaction dates. *Residents/Customers can only use the 15th for a transaction date if it is not the same amount each month. *Residents/Customers on budget billing or request to pay the same amount each month can use either the 1st or the 15th as a transaction date. *ACH(eCheck) form must be completed and turned in at least two days prior to the effective transaction day.  *Please DO NOT email a filled out form.  Form must be mailed to or dropped off at Colman City Hall.
• Payment drop off box is located on the south side of City Hall next to the door.
• Mail payment to: City of Colman  PO Box 54, Colman,SD 57017
• Credit/Debit Card inside City Hall or over phone.
